ALL breeds - ALL ages - ALL Sizes!
Morgans have occurred in a wide variety of sizes since the very inception of the breed. The Morgan Pony Express features articles on the smaller Morgans which have been influential to the breed. Plus crossbreed info, breeding considerations, games, updates and registry information. In 2000 we looked at King's River Morgan, a influential 14.2 hh stallion whose descendants are still breeding today. 2001 - 2003 are not just on line. Scheduled for 2004 is Flyhawk, a 14.3 hh stallion of Midwestern breeding who has created a family line of his own. Many Funquest bred Morgans have Flyhawk, or one of his siblings, on their papers. Other lines which yield smaller Morgans are the Lippitt and Lambert families. LippittMorgans come from a select group of exceptional foundation Morgans bred by Robert Lippitt Knight. Lamberts descend on the sire line from the reknown trotting horse Daniel Lambert and often incorporate Lippitt lines as well.
